All of our products that contain water have a preservative system. Natural ingredients require a preservative in order for the ingredients to last with-out refrigeration. Preservatives keep ingredients fresher longer and keep them safe. We use the Whole Foods Premium List of acceptable preservatives as a guide to determine which preservatives are acceptable as well as each preservative is determined based on the formulation requirements.
