Since the beginning we have always incorporated cold pressed oils that are now gaining popularity in today's skin care products, it's important to us that the developing regions also profit from the purchase of their oils and so whenever possible we purchase our oils from fair trade partners with particular interest in supporting Women's Cooperatives.

Cold Pressed Argan Oil

 

Argania Spinosa 

Origin: Fair Trade (†) – Women’s cooperative in southwest Morocco. 

Process: USDA certified organic – 100% pure virgin cold-pressed  –Sustainably produced to protect the argan tree and its vital role ecologically.

Benefits: Rich in vitamin E, antioxidants and essential fatty acids, helps restore elasticity, minimize fine lines and wrinkles.

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Origin: Fair Trade (†) – Philippines

Process: USDA certified organic – Coconut oil is extracted from copra, making it an important agricultural commodity for many coconut-producing countries.

Skin Benefits: Antioxidant properties of Coconut oil come from its saturated fats Capric Acid, Caprylic Acid, Caproic Acid, and Myristic Acid, helps restore elasticity, and lipid hydration.

Origin: Fair Trade (†) – Ghana from a Women’s Cooperative

Process: Wild Crafted – Sun dried  

Benefits: Rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, helps restore elasticity, minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Shea trees bear fruit once annually after they are approximately 20 years old. Africans have traditionally referred to the trees as “Gods gift to Africa” because of their long 300-year lifespan.

Cold Pressed Marula Oil

Sclerocarya birrea​

Origin: Fair Trade (†) – Southern Africa

Process: A labor intensive process, performed primarily by women of the region.

Benefits: A rich source of Vitamin C, contains 60-70 percent Oleic Acid (omega-9 fatty acid), the fruits, and the nourishing oil pressed from the kernels, have been used for centuries by the people of southern Africa for their remarkable therapeutic, benefits.

Cold Pressed Moringa Oil

Moringa oleifera

Origin: Fair Trade (†) – Ghana

Process: Cold Pressed 

Benefits: Moringa is known as the ‘miracle tree’. Moringa leaves are incredibly nutritious (gram-for-gram, more iron than spinach, moringa seeds produce a moisturizing oil packed with antioxidants and cell-stimulating plant hormones to help nourish and repair dry skin and hair.

Cocoa Butter

Process: Certified Raw Organic

Benefits: Unrefined, cocoa butter is made by pressing ground, milled cacao nibs to make a cacao paste. This process separates the thick and creamy butter from the fibrous powder. Natural cocoa butter is known for its high oxidative stability, as a result of it being naturally rich in antioxidants and vitamin E

Raw Himalayan Honey

Origin: Fair Trade (†) – certified organic – certified GMO – Kassmir Valley, Himalayan Mountains 

Process: Raw, unheated

Benefits: Considered the purest honey on earth, rich in Gluconic Acid – a mild alpha hydroxy acid that sloughs dead skin cells and brightens the complexion. The honey is a rich dark color and has not been heated to maintain the natural structure of Vitamin B, Iron, Manganese, Copper, Potassium and Calcium.
